Contextualized ESOL and ABE Lesson Planning as an Introduction to Health Careers

During this three-part cohort series participants will have the opportunity to explore the benefits of contextualized instruction to serve as the foundation for a high demand career pathway. We will look at examples of contextualized learning activities and will plan contextualized lessons using Backward Design as a planning framework incorporating the REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating and Transferring) learning strategy as a vehicle for contextualization.

Attendance Restrictions: Attendees must commit to attending all three days of the series.

Sessions: February 22nd, March 22nd, and May 24th
